Warrior Again Sponsors Player of Week
ATLANTA – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity league in North America, is proud to announce that its player of the week award will be once again sponsored by Warrior for the 2024 season.
The top player in each division every week of the regular season and postseason will earn “Warrior Player of the Week” honors.
The honorees will receive either a Warrior Burn XP2-O (offense) or Burn XP2-D (defense) – a $120 value – for his efforts along with national recognition.
“Warrior is one of the seminal brands in the sport of lacrosse and we’re honored that they are sponsoring our weekly award again this spring,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “Receiving a Warrior head is a fantastic way to reward our top performances.”
In addition to the Warrior Player of the Week, there will be a Warrior Honor Roll to recognize other quality efforts in both divisions.
MCLA head coaches will submit their candidates by Monday at noon, with the recipients announced on Tuesday. Only head coaches can nominate players for the Warrior Player of the Week.
The awards will be presented weekly from late January through the 2024 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will be held from May 6-11 in Round Rock, Texas.
“Warrior is extremely proud and excited to partner with the MCLA and to reward numerous outstanding student-athletes in the spring,” said Warrior Lacrosse marketing manager Gabe O’Neil. “With outstanding lacrosse programs in every corner of the country, partnering with the MCLA was a natural fit for Warrior and we look forward to supporting the hard-working, dedicated student-athletes who make the MCLA special.”
