BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse club is once again hosting the New England Invitational collegiate fall ball event this weekend and three PCLL programs will be participating.

Bridgeport, Southern Conn. State and New Haven will all be playing at Veterans Memorial Park in Bridgeport in multiple games that will not only get them prepped for the upcoming season, but also raise money for Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse.

"Helping out the local community, especially with the sport of lacrosse, is always fulfilling for the players, so we're excited to take part in this event," said Bridgeport coach William Wezenter. "Going up against some solid PCLL opponents is a bonus."

The event runs from 8 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 and money raised will go toward building the sport in Bridgeport.
