ATLANTA – They are part of the most dominant conference in MCLA history and once again the six teams in the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) fill out the top six spots in the Division II Under Armour Weekly Coaches poll.
For the fifth straight week, it’s North Dakota State (7-0) in the first chair with 16 of the 20 first place votes.
UMLC West rival and No. 2 Minn.-Duluth (8-2) has kept pace with the Bison, snatching the remaining four first votes.
St. Thomas (6-1) checks in at No. 3 and the Tommies lead the UMLC East contingent. Fellow East division comrades Grand Valley State (3-1) and Dayton (4-2) round out the Top 5.
St. John’s (7-2) checks in at No. 6.
Providence (1-5) departs the Top 25 poll this week to make way for the reemergence of No. 23 Central Conn. State. The Blue Devils beat former No. 14 (and now No. 19) Bridgewater State.
