FULLERTON, Calif. -- MSU Denver freshman midfielder Henry Coors converted a rebound in overtime, giving the No. 24 Roadrunners a stunning, 9-8 victory over No. 13 Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday evening.
Playing shorthanded due to injuries and on its fourth game in six days against ranked competition, MSU Denver picked up the win it has been seaching for.
"This team left it all on the field and gave all they had in close to a 100 percent effort as I've ever seen from a team I've had the pleasure of coaching," said MSU Denver coach Daniel Hunter. "I couldn't be more proud of this little band of Dirty Birds."
MSU Denver returns to action on March 29 when the Roadrunners host No. 12 Montana.
