UConn Hosting Turkey Shootout

STORRS, Conn. - The Connecticut men's lacrosse team is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its first fall ball tournament.

The "UConn Turkey Shootout" will take place on Nov. 7 and be held on UConn's campus. Joining the Huskies will be the club teams from UMass and Quinnipiac along with the local "Kicking Mules" lacrosse club.

“Facing clubs outside of the MCLA will be an excellent test for us particularly with our new squad, one made up largely of first-year players," said UConn coach Jeff Lombardo. "That said, we’re excited to see our fall ball energy translate to competition.”

Games will commence at 9 a.m. and follow a 50-minute, running time protocol, with the last game starting at 2 p.m.

The tournament is being played on the new Rec Turf field on Jim Calhoun Way with parking available an the Freitas Ice Forum and other adjacent lots. There will be food and t-shirts for sale, as well.
