Here are the selections for SELC Div I POTW for the Feb 28-Mar 6 period.
Offensive Player of the Week
James Dugan, Florida - Junior, Attack
The Baltimore product led the Gators offensive effort in ranked wins over Georgia Tech and Michigan State. Dugan's two goals and one assist versus the Ramblin' Wreck included the Gators' 10th goal late in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the game-winner in a 10-9 photo finish. Against the Spartans, Dugan added another goal and an assist and again came through in the clutch, tying the game at 10 to force overtime.
Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Schaffer, Florida - Graduate, Defense
Schaffer, a Master's student out of Ponte Vedra, Fla., was a physical force all weekend for an excellent Gators' defensive unit. Schaffer's one-on-one pressure defense and his composure in the clearing game were important elements in Florida's fourth-quarter comebacks against both Georgia Tech and Michigan State.
