Michigan State Wins UMLC-I Title

LOVES PARK, Ill. – With an impressive defensive effort, Michigan State defeated Minnesota, 11-3, to capture the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) championship on Sunday at the Mercyhealth Sportscore Complex.

With the victory, Michigan State (6-5) earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex. Tickets and live streaming for nationals can be purchased HERE.

The Spartans raced to a 5-0 lead after the first 15 minutes, aided by a dominant defensive effort. The lead ballooned to 8-1 at the half and Michigan State cruised home for the win.

The Golden Gophers conclude their season with an 8-5 mark.
