LYNCHBURG, Va. – Jared Cole scored his first goal of the game in double overtime, sending Virginia Tech to the 2023 Atlantic Lacrosse Conference (ALC) championship over Liberty, 14-13.
With the victory, Virginia Tech (14-2) earns an automatic qualifying berth to the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, which will take place from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex. Tickets and live streaming for nationals can be purchased HERE.
The Hokies rallied from a two-goal, fourth-quarter deficit against Liberty (13-3) to set up Cole’s heroics.
It’s the second straight ALC title for the Hokies.
